Robin Crew (Olivia dAbo) is a 16-year-old gymnast adjusting to life after the car accident that killed her father and badly injured her leg. She is full of strength and determination to move forward with her life and to do so successfully. Her story is one of love and friendship, courage and hope, faith and dreams. Tommy (Keanu Reeves) provides the loving teen-age support that helps Robin overcome the many obstacles encountered in her young life. With the help of her coach (Rita Tushingham), she lives life with the spirit of a champion and eventually leads her team to compete in the national meet.
